36 Case color

[Mikey the Monkey]

Working on my case model c. Was this model painted red? The whole tractor is a dark red. Even the spots underneath bolted on parts. This tractor has been in family since 1950 ish and hasn't been painted in that time.

I thought that too but there is no grey anywhere. I wish I knew how to post pictures.

they did paint some a special color through the years,, but its far more likely it was repainted by a branch warehouse or dealer to "update" it as it was a carry over and the pint had faded than being ordered that way, if indeed it was ordered a different color it would be noted on the build card, I have heard this many times about being a different color,, most every time it was a quality repaint done before it was first sold and painted different to give it a sense of being newer unit than it was,
