3600 temp gauge problem

I have been fighting this dash for about 6 months now and I am ready to take it to a dealer. The temp gauge would go over to the line between the red and white and stay there. I have replaced the sending unit twice, the gauge with two different ones, the voltage stabilzer twice. There is power to all the connections on the dash. I used a ohm meter and the wire is good from the gauge to the sending unit. I even bought an aftermarket dash assembly and put that in. Gas or temp didn't work on that. This is on a gas tractor. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Barry

The sending unit has to match the gauge. Does the gauge jump up instantly when you turn the key on, or slowly rise up from the left hand side? I need to know what kind of gauge you have first.

The new gauges will not move at all. They stay at the left side of the gauge. These are gauges bought from Ford.
Thanks, Barry

Well, that's not very helpful. Bottom line is that the gauge needs to match the sending unit, and vice versa. If it's the later style magnetic gauge, you don't need a stabilizer, and you need the later style sending unit.

The ground spade is connected. How do I tell if the gauge is a magnetic style? Thanks for the replies everyone.
