38 RC cooling system

I feel kind of dumb asking this question but, does the RC tractor have a water pump and if it is where is it? Looking at the tractor I see no signs of one and in the repair manual that I have they list water pumps for the older case tractors but skip over the RC. My RC seems to be running hot and I do not see much agitation in the reservior. I have been able to run a rod through many of the tubes in the radiator and they all seem clean.

If it does not have a water pump then how does it cool?

Thanks in advice for any help

Basically hot water rises from the engine to the top of the radiator. That pushes the water in the radiator down, where it is comes by the radiator and then gets sucked back in to the bottom of the engine as "cool" water, relatively.

Heat rises and cold falls so in the cooling system with out a water pump as the hot coolant rises the cold move down to the bottom which in turn causes the coolant to flow in and out of the engine like it would if it had a water pump but much slower and in some works as good or better then one with a pump. Many of them do not have thermostats either so the flow starts pretty much as soon as things start to warm up. If your having trouble with it running hot drain the cooling system fill with vinegar and run it till good and warm. Let cool and then rig a way to hook up a hose to the block drain and back flush it with the garden hose. Fill back up with a 5/50 mix of antifreeze

Drain the radiator and add 1 gallon of vinegar and finish filling with water. Run it around for a hour or so and pull the drain plug. Make a adapter to back flush the radiator with a garden hose. Helps the cooling system a lot and will run cooler.
