382 Hydro Cadet

Greetings, I did a search for this "new" garden tractor but could not find anything.
It goes slow even with engine reved up.
Can anything be done ? Must be a problem with hydralic unit ?
Any suggestions ?
Thanks,
Ron

The 382 Hydro Cadet,as per hood lettering is a hydralic (sp) unit. That doesn't go to fast in either forward or reverse.
Looking for manuals--repair--parts. Got users off the web.
Showes a Model # as 133383399
Serial # as 0350037U075259
Don't know how to tell if it is a 8 or 11 H.P. B&S.

Do a goggle search for mtd manuals, click on link for pdf manual web archive(1st link)mod# you gave doesn't come up,use 134-382-100 for mod# & zero for sn,owners manual avail as a free download that you can view/print,parts manual you can order from mtd or goto ebay & search cub cadet 382 manual, several parts lists/service manuals listed or goto link below & lookup assembly drawings/parts list in cub(blue logo)lawn/garden tractor listings. If eng mod# begins with 19,same a 1900 series eng & 8hp,if mod# begins with 25,eng an 11hp.First thing you might want to do is check/replace drive belts, same may worn/streched & slipping as clutch idler may be at end of takeup range & can't take up all slack in belt
parts

Also check woodriff key in each rear wheel axle that connects rim to axle, one of the keys may be sheared & axle slipping/spinning in rim.

Thanks for info. Had downloaded users, owners manual--for FREE.Don't have much $ . so don't know if I need parts and service manual. Will look for service manual.
Going to take seat off so I can use a magnifing glass to read numbers on tag, though I think they are right but don't match or seem to work to find things.
Finished cutting grass this afternoon, things were hot and it did not want to hardly move in reverse and I had to hold the lever up for it to go forword. Better after it cooled down. The guy I got it from says there are new belts on it.Says he also replaced the hydralic fluid. I called and he didn't answer ???Left a message asking if he used the right stuff.
They want over $1000 for a new hydralic unit. Seems they want to get rich all in one day !
Looks like I will have to take off mower deck to check belt and idler for the hydralic unit ??? Getting back on my feet after heart bypass and wonder how to get under it to work.
Think they call this machine a 382H.
