39 allis b gaskets

Hello!
I have some bearing work to do on my 39 allis b.
specifically the pto shaft bearing so far. I will be
fully disassembling the trans, final drives, and
diff. Anyone know where i can get all the gaskets?
Or is it better to use a rtv gasket maker or
something else. Also, any links to where i can
obtain gaskets and bearings?

cheapest bearings would be to go to bearing house like Motion Industries. Bearings are US manufactures, not ALLIS. I go to NAPA and buy bulk gasket material for the areas that need it (rear pto / hyd pump) The final drive pans i just cleanup and put RTV bead on them. If you want gaskets and bearings from Allis, you can buy from Sandy Lake Equip (allis dealer on line) - they sell on line.

YEs, most of the B and C bearings are identical. Transmissions are identical as are the PTO.. I think all the final drive bearings are the same, but cant say 100%... There are some differences over the years in the PTO back and side shafts due to size of the shaft. Also the original seals were leather and made to drip and keep them lubed. The shafts have a slight groove to pull the oil into the leather. New seals are rubber and might need a speedy sleeve to cover the shaft and eliminate the groove.
