39 B - oil capacity

What is oil capacity for early 1939 B - serial no.
75600? MANUAL calls for 7 quarts but I recall
reading somewhere that very early styled B tractors
take less.

What is capacity if oil filter is not
removed/changed?
 
"Uncle Earl" our 39B #75654 takes 7 <font size="0"><sup>1</sup>/<sub>2</sub></font> quarts in the crankcase.

Do not know the capacity if the oil filter is not changed; we always change the filter when the oil is changed.
