3pt bar length

Is there a standard length for the drawbar that goes between the 2 lift arms on an 8N? The one I have seems to be awfully wide. It's 31" from tip-to-tip. Also, is the 8N a class 1 or class 2 3pt?

Flat drawbar is normally 24 to 26 inches in between the lift arms, not counting the end pins, that insert into the lift arms.
26 inches is the prefered length of the flat bar.

If you have a Cat. II drawbar the end of the DB won't go through the hole in your lift arm on the tractor.

Tom is right... I looked at [i:6f2f4ae867][b:6f2f4ae867]hole diameter [/b:6f2f4ae867][/i:6f2f4ae867]column instead of [i:6f2f4ae867][b:6f2f4ae867]pin diameter[/b:6f2f4ae867][/i:6f2f4ae867] column by mistake.

GB has the 26" part correct. The original 8N drawbars were exactly 26" across the flat. 8N's were made 1947-1952, ASAE started the hitch Category system in the early 1970's. N's are close to but not category 1, category 1 is our best choice today.
