I was doing some excavator work today at a scrap yard and some one brought in a big air compressor that had a 4 cylinder diesel engine. It was a Davey 150. I know this is not much to go on if yall can ID it and let me know what tractors it would fit in I might try to buy it. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Some of the Deere power unit engines are too light for certain tractors. Mainly tractors that rely on the engine block as part of frame. Easy to tell if it's a lightweight block because the side is not smooth. It has recesses to make it lighter.

Thanks JD I will look tomorrow and get some numbers. I recognize from your posts that you know a great deal about Roosa Master pumps. We have a number of them on John Deeres and Fords And I would like to be able to repair them Myself. What is the best source of information and parts? Thanks in advance.

I've seen lots of deere engines at work in pumps and air compressors. Anything from a 3 cylinder diesel like in a 1020, 4.5L, 6.8L, or 8.1L.
