400 Char Lynn steering pump

Will a 60s ford pump be the same pump for as the Char Lynn pump set up? Amazon has these for a little over 100 bucks and i am wondering if it would work.

Sorry about lack of details. The Char Lynn belt driven power steering pump is leaking on my Farmall 400. I found a similar power steering pump on line that is looks just like it at a fraction of the cost of other replacements. It says it is for a 60s Ford Thunderbird or Mustang and it looks just like the one on my tractor.

Any PS pump should work. Fitment would be the biggest obstacle though.

If that one looks right I'd try it. Got any pics of your pump and the one you found?

Yes, it will work. Same thing, automotive parts guy who owns IH's figured this out years ago. He didn't say ford but maybe a rambler or mopar. Replaced mine on an H a few years ago. Reservoir fit right on.

char lynn used the eaton pumps that were used on the early 1960s fords, mustangs and tbirds. there are seal kits available to repair them.

I got mine for a 1963 Ford 500 exactly the same pump.
