400 Cotton Picker

Help. I have a noisy 400 Cotton Picker drive gear in the right drop box. Looking for assistance on locating salvage parts.

Most of those will be in the cotton country I would expect since you don't see them very often in the central plains or midwest.

Do you know if this is the same as an M drop housing? Have you torn the housing apart to determine the cause of the noise? May be bearings? If the same as an M, I have a set of gears that could be salvaged. E-mail open.

Just to help clarify things, are you having issues with a 400 series self propelled picker or a unit mounted on a Farmall 400?

Also....

If you have no luck here, ask over on the Red Power forum. There's a few guys in cotton country there too.
