4000 PS reservoir leak

I have a 65' 3 cyl. 4000 with the PS reservoir seperate from the pump up behind the battery. It has a slow leak from the bottom somewhere around the spot welded mounting bracket and wondering if there is a way to fix or buy a new one or options?

If it's metal then it should be pretty straight forward to braze or silver solder.

I 100% agree with J_B.

Remove it.. clean it.. then use torch or propane torch to burn the crack or seam clean of oil.. then flux and silver solder ( easiest) or braze.. .. whatever you are comfortable with doing..

if its the pot metal type, it will crack if heated as it cools back down... remove... clean with alcohol,, dry,, sand...clean again... dry.. then clean again... then jb weld it... tube of jb epoxy will only work if its clean,, have fixed oil pans, rearends, gas tanks, and fuel filters with it.. but it MUST be clean... hth... bill
