4010 front pump swap

I have a 4010 with a bad front pump it s only making 1700psi at 7 gpm it has oil and the filter and suction screen are clean my question is I have a pump out of a 4320 can I swap that pump in the only thing I can do just looking at the two pumps is I will have to add a drain back line

Hello Ken welcome to YT. I am not a big JD guy but I
know a little about the green machines of that era. I am
going to say that likely your proposed swap will work. I
would just make sure that the pump is the problem. I
am not sure but I think the ..standby pressure.. on
those systems is easily adjusted. Not sure if a broken
spring etc. may also cause low pressure. I would
recommend you post this on the John Deere topic
section here on YT in the link. You should get a more
immediate answer there from folks with a lot of JD
knowledge.

Check fitting sizes, think they are different and you may need different ones.
