4010 HDY pump

Good Day all

I have a 4010 that is leaking oil at the pump shaft. a while back some one said how you fix this leak (internal Seal?) if some one would be so kind as to post these instructions again i wound be very thankful . i have the pump out of the tractor.

One has to completely disassemble pump as in remove shaft to R&R inner quad ring. Be sure and keep pistons identified to return to corresponding bores they were removed from.

THE PUMP WILL DROP OUT THE BOTTOM AS ONE PIECE WITH THE SUB FRAME THAT ATTACHES TO THE ENGINE , AFTER THAT THE DISASSEMBLY IS QUITE SIMPLE , REMOVE THE 4 BOLTED HEAD ASSEMBLY , REMOVE AND KEEP TRACK OF THE LOCATIONS FOR ALL THE PISTONS , REMOVE THE SHAFT AND CHANGE OUT THE SEAL, IVE ALWAYS USED A BIT OF LIGHT GREASE DURING ASSEMBLY TO HOLD ALL THINGS IN PLACE , THE SPACER SHIM IN THE PUMP HEAD SOMTIMES FALLS OUT WHEN POSITIONING THE HEAD , BUT THE GREASE WILL SOLVE THAT , HAVE FUN

(quoted from post at 23:02:13 09/24/10) ok did like you said now i cant get the pump to pump i think,

Did you on dis-assembly change setting of stroke control valve????? If you backed adjusting screw out pump may not pump oil. Do you have trans pump flow to main hyd pump? Main hyd pump can't suck oil.
