4020 3 point jerky

I just purchased early model 4020. Changed all fluids, filters, and screen. 3 pt raises slow and is jerky. Load/draft lever is broke off so currently looking for one. All other hydraulic functions work fine. Any thoughts?

Sounds like it could have air in it.

I suggest to check hyd stand-by pressure by attaching a 5000 psi gauge to a male hyd coupler tip. Insert tip in breakaway coupler then move control lever in correct direction to pressurize the gauge. Pressure should be 2250 -2350 psi. Another possibility is pressure control under hood next to firewall could possibly be blocking flow to RS & scv's.

There was a post on here from a Gerald that had a check valve upgrade to help losing hydraulic pressure but link doesn't work anymore. Anyone have that info?
