4020 air filter problems followup

Last week, I posted looking for the Donaldson part number for the rubber baffle plate in a 4020 diesel dry air filter.
I finally found that a Donaldson P105050 should sub for a JD R39828. But by the time I pay shipping and sales tax, it is about the same price as the JD part.

Trying to save money on most things by the time you pay shipping and mess around and ends up not being the right part its a lot less trouble to call the dealer and you wouldve had the part

I just did a search of that number and found a cross reference to a bunch of numbers. One is 8u2603 which is a Cat number and it is on ebay for $28.00. Found another place Aftermarket Supply that has it for$17.01. Sure beats the big money I paid Deere for one a few weeks ago. Tom

That is not what he wants. He is looking for the baffle that sets against the filter and fits inside the cup on an early 4020. Tom
