Looked at 69 4020 today that owner said had recent clutch work.Where you adjust free travel it was close to 2/3 of the way up in slot and looked to me that a couple adjustments and you would be out of adjustment.I didnt buy it but wondered if it could have been improperly installed or just put in disc and did not finish job right THANKS!

It's posable that the fingers didn't get adjusted correctly or the flywheel has been turn many times and the clutch is positioned farther ahead than it should be, you can go up through the bottom and re-adjust the fingers to get more pedal, what parts that were actualy put in will be a mystery till you split it and check it out.

I had one done not long ago and the clutch pedal is the same way. Had everything replaced except the flywheel. It clutches just fine.

I've seen this a lot of times, It's usualy incorrect finger adjustment. You can move the pedal adjustment to the end of the slot and re-adjust the fingers up to the release bearing, working up through the inspection cover, don't forget your goggles, you can get your eyes full..

Actualy as long as you have some free travel you won't need to deal with it till you run out of adjustment.Hopeing all the fingers are even, you should look up in at them and check that.
