4020 LP distributor ID

Last week I bought a 4020LP and need to replace the points and condenser but 3 different distributors were used during production. Where do I find the distributor ID, no luck so far.

You can narrow it down by the cap, some were held on by clips and others by screws, then you might have to take the points with you to identify. Delcos have an oval tag riveted to them.

You are right. All my other Deeres have clips and are Delco. This one has screws.Thanks.

Your cap held on by screws I.D.'s it as a Delco for SURE.

It takes the same breaker points as GM cars and trucks with 4 or 6 cylinder engines from the same era!
