4020---NO PTO

I am looking to buy this 4020-serial # SNT213R136084R. It has no pto and no 3 pt hitch. How many of these did they build?---It does have hydraulics off the rear

Is it a wheatland version perhaps? In wheat country "bareback" tractors without hitches and PTO's are not uncommon but I don't recall ever seeing a 4020 that way.

The 4020 may have been ordered by a veteran of the "great depression". I've met people so stingy they would order a tractor without a seat if it saved two dollars.

I was probably ordered that way either for use out west where that would be the norm for a tillage tractor, Or like was said below an extermely stingy original owner. I've seen a 2510 diesel rowcrop with absolutely nothing in the way of options except a drawbar,single front wheel no pto,no 3pt, no remotes,no fenders. Original owners' son now has the tractor with all the paperwork. He also said his father was so tight, he would squeeze a nickle til the buffalo $hit

If you break down the serial #T213R136084R

T = tractor
2 = 4020
1 = row crop
3 = diesel
R = syncro range
136084 = mid 1966 production
R = Waterloo production plant

So it's just a stripped row crop, not a Standard Tread tractor.
