4020 Power Shift

Power Shift won t hold tractor in park. Holds just a bit and clicks as it rolls forward. Just wondering if there s a fairly simple fix great. If too complicated the loader makes a fine parking brake. Otherwise trans works just fine.

When shift lever lever is pulled down into PARK position the arm on transmission where cable connects, should turn 90 degrees with
cable hole in arm pointing forward. If the arm is in this position and PARK does not hold or skips as described, the roller inside
of transmission located under transmission cover is not in place or there??. It may lost keeper and roller fell off pawl actuating
shaft or actuating shaft that roller rides on broke. Roller will be found somewhere in bottom of transmission. Fix this before
someone gets ran over.

The shaft going into the side of the
transmission has a roll pin going
through it will shear off ..I have
replaced a bunch of these on different
tractors from a 4020 to 4640.

(quoted from post at 20:36:59 10/25/23) My first power shift, can you tell me how get to this cable connection?

Look behind battery by unlatching battery box retainer or remove RH battery to expose cable & exterior park control linkage
