4020 pto

Tractordata says my 64 has 1000 pto available. I ve only used 540 and would like to buy a flail shredder so would appreciate info on how to access and operate 1000 rpm.

You have to remove a snap ring, pull out the 540 stub shaft, then put in the 1000 stub shaft. The extra shaft is stored sideways
in the rear casting. You will lose about a pint of oil in the process, but it may help to put the front wheels in a ditch before
pulling the shaft out.
