4020 question

Will the cowling from a early 4020 (not side console) fit the later side console models . I have a chance to buy a good running diesel 4020 side console I do not know what year it is yet I do not have the serial number. But the cowling is missing I have a early 4020 cowling . The shields by the brakes and the clutch pedals are missing and the front side screens are missing and the shields buy the starter,injector pump are missing. Does any body have any of these pieces ? I think i can buy the tractor for some where between $4500 and $5000 . What do you guys think is it a good deal or not.Other than the pieces missing it looks and runs out great has great tires good clutch pretty decent sheet metal but needs paint

The cowling should interchange but might have different handles as there were a few that were different,side shields have to be from 69/72,side screens should interchange.For the time spent looking and driving Steiner,A&I,Worthington tractor parts,all have repoduction that will work fine.Usually salvage yards charge 1/2 of new so you are not saving much over $200 buy having new.Salvage value on that tractor is around $4500 add tires in, plus you say it runs good is a excellent find.Paint is minor compared to internal problems.The last S.N of each year is 222142 [69] 254999[70]260790[71]270288 [72].The side counsel tractor are gaining in popularity and its hard to buy a nice one much less than 10K.Buy it and keep it or resell it and have some extra cash for Christmas.
