4020 rear remotes

it is a 66 and have one set and a has a loader on a separate set for the loader. i have just seen a lot of 4020's with dual set and was wondering how hard it would be

hi--there is the regular way adding the block under the dash and another remote....500 bucks minimum...and people short you the lines and lever!! ^^^^^^^i have another option, today i took a double spool valve off a 4020, it plugs two hoses into your existing remote thru the valve out to 4 hoses with pioneer couplers, purdy neat....i will be listing it soon.

My early 4020(like yours) has two remotes. After I had owned and worked on it a while I found that one had been added. The second valve, lever, lines, and coupler were there, but not right. I straightened, re-routed, and anchored the lines like they were supposed to be. The valve was apparently off a 4010 and always had issues. I finally replaced both valves with a little different style.(Had to replace as a pair) So now I have a good spare original 4020 valve I don't need.

I have a 67 with single remote. I looked into adding a second one and called around to differnt salvage yards and wathcin ripp you off bay and finally decided since I dont have a loader it was cheaper and easier to just go and buy a faucy valve.

I've added a second circuit to several (4 or 5?) early models and yes, it's quite simple. I've found it easier to use hydraulic hose(s) to connect the valve box to the remote.

You will prefer purchasing a dedicated joystick dual valve to control the loader. And instead of using the factory installed scv on the back of the tractor. Using a simple "T" into the high pressure hydraulic line. Then return the loader oil into a ported transmission oil filter.
A dash controlled loader is a dingaling of a thing.

buickanddeere is right....drill and braze a fitting on to the 90 on top of the SCV under the dash for your high pressure oil and run it to your new hyd control stack. Return oil to the filter housing that you also have to braze a port to. I have done many over the years.
