4020 repower

You read about 4020s reposed with 6-466 combine engines.
My question is has anyone repowered a 4020 with a 4320
engine and then mounted the turbo using the method that Tim
S demonstrates using 4430 manifolds and turbo? Thanks in
advance

That is the best combination for a 4020 re-power it will make a nice 130-140 hp and still have good low end power, the engines with the big in-line Bosch pump will make way more power than needed in a 4020 plus the loss of low end power, The turbo set up that I came up with works well and fits under the hood good as well as using the stock muffler hole in the hood,,a few little things to wrestle with as you go, but all do-able, the 4320 elbow works fairly well allowing for a larger muffler,,but it sets a bit tall letting the muffler clamp show above the hood,,which for most is not a big deal. Any one wanting to do this I will walk them through it, and show them the pros and cons..also a 4320 clutch/flywheel combination will give more clutch to hold the little extra power.

Can the 4020 repower with the 4320 engine be done with a a 4020 power shift tractor? Is a 4320 crank a 4 bolt like the 4020 or does the clutch need to be machined? Does the 4320 water pump need to be machined as well as the dampener? Thanks again

(quoted from post at 11:59:19 12/13/20) the engines with the big in-line Bosch pump will make way more power than needed in a 4020 plus the loss of low end power

Is the lack of lend due to the aneroid circuit on the Bosch pumps or because the cam profile is different in the 466's?
