4020 restoration

Thinking about getting started on restoring my 4020. Wondering where to start, where to look for "how-to" tricks. The tractor is in average shape. The hood banged up a little,t he fenders are rusted, and one of the side shields is bent. This doesn't have to be a show piece when I'm done as I will still being using the tractor for light field work and baling.

Just curious.

Sure you don't have my 4000. You described it to a T.

I would start with any mechanical overhauls needed or leaks fixed. Then move onto missing or broken parts. Cosmetic stuff comes last.

hi--first,check to see how full your patience
tank is........then pump yourself up the way hulk hogan used to.....then strip all the sheet metal off. then power wash and wash and wash. you cant imagine the dirt under a floorboard.
((the whole time keep a list in your mind of items to pick-up at the rural king and argue with yourself about what to fix and not what to fix)) then do all the mechanical and oil leak fix'in.......man, im tired already
