Can you buy the wiring harness from the ignition switch to the main plug in under the dash on a late 4020 that plugs into the original one?

Will the Brillman connect with the original JD?

I'll guess Brillman wiring harness would connect to JD harness but I suggest to ask them.

Years ago I rewired my early 4020 diesel power shift. Unfortunately this was before I was aware of Agri-Services, which is practically a neighbor. I got a harness from JD. What I didn't know, and what they didn't tell me, is there are several harnesses. So this ended up being a long drawn out, expensive ordeal. And I was most annoyed that the harness which attached to the panel came with bags of crimp on wire ends. I expected plug and play from JD. So if I were you I most definitely contact Agri-Services.

Those above are 2 good places to check. They are spade female connectors for the most part just inside a fancy plug so often I just make my own and ditch the large plastic. If you want to cover it up like you were not there there is a black woven product called heat flexwrap and several other options that looks like the cloth shrunk up over 5 decades you shrink it to the harness you build with the heat gun. Then you can be sure all your colors of wire are right or at least close and of a good size. I seem to use a lot of orange wire. You can buy the fancy Cotten braided wire as well in more color combinations than you can count.

Back in 2019 I got a new custom wiring harness from Agri-services, and converted my 4020 from 24v to 12v. Replaced every wire on it. They quizzed me hard about exactly how the tractor was set up and the wiring harness they sent worked perfectly.
