4020S

Anyone know anything about a 4020S? This particular tractor was made in Germany. Problem is it is stuck in 4x4. There is an output shaft going to a driveline to the front end. I believe this is a transfer case type not a pto to front end. There is what looks like a shift solenoid in that area. I have put power and ground to that but get nothing. Trying to find info on how this works

This must be a 4040S. The solenoid needs power to disengage the clutch pack. Exact same as Deere 4050 with QR. You have three prongs on the solenoid. Middle bottom one is useless. Left is ground. Right is 12V. Yellow wire coming from the dash feeds it. The dash push button feeds the solenoid while mfwd is off, or the engaged warning light on the dash while switch is on.

There was no 4020S manufactured. Maybe you're referring to a 4040S
