404 Engine help

What was the last series a 404ci engine was used in? Was it used in any 55 series tractors? Will a 55 series head from a 466 fit a 404 block? Thanks in advance.

The 4040's were the last that I can think of to use the 404, and I don't know why Deere did that...the newer 50&55 series heads will work on the newer 404 blocks, but not the older ones.

No, the early 40's didn't have them ether.
