I am going to start selling some of my tractors. First to go is a 1941 A. I have no
idea what to ask for it. Starts and runs fine has 3 pt, hyds and will include a 2
bottom JD plow. Tin is ok and paint is faded but I will shine it up. Tires are fair
with some cracking. If I look at the ads online all the prices are all over the
place. Photo is 17 yrs ago when it had fresh paint.

Ok ya got any idea hi to lo location or are you talking about my location or buyers
location, both miles to transport. For the right price I would deliver.

in my area, A and Bs are very common, and seems 2000 dollars buy
and early styled A, maybe the plow will help?
put an ad here on yesterdays tractor and see !

If the piece is common, price will generally be lower. I see asking prices from 800 to 4500 for running As and Bs, some with attachment(s), some without, most 2000 to 2500 in the northeast. Of course, the actual selling price of these is an unknown.

The location of a piece of equipment can affect the price, so I don't see it is unreasonable to ask a general location of the item. And a 17 year old picture doesn't count for much as a gauge of its current condition, just like a guy that pulls a picture off the web and says mine is like this one. Just my opinion, you have yours.

You should continue to check out Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and on line sellers, then make your own determination.

Location means everything when it comes to pricing a tractor. You dont need to get testy with people who are giving you advice.

Fixerupper is exactly correct for a couple reasons:

1. Values for the same tractor vary in different parts of the country.

2. If a person might be interested, it would help to know where the tractor is located. I'm not going to call about a tractor that is halfway across the country, even if it is one I really like.
