42 in. cub cadet deck value?

Recently acquired a mowing deck, with carriage framework and mule pulleys, that was on a 108 cub cadet. It is in really nice original condition, always shedded. I have no use for it and would like to sell, but have no idea what it is worth. Any feedback would be appreciated.

100 bucks is fair and you should sell easily at that price. Excellent cond. might bring 125-150. Something is worth what someone will give, I have learned that lesson. Good Luck

If you are selling locally the answer is "it depends".

While it is easily worth well over $100, getting it could be a problem. Lots of Cub Cadets have been parted out and others turned into pullers - leaving lots of decks setting around unused.

I've bought 42" and 48" decks for $25 off of Craigs list. The most money could be made stripping it and selling the parts on E-Bay. The three mandrels will easily sell for $30-$40 each and the shell for another $50-$70. Most people don't want to buy the entire deck as they don't need it and don't want to pay the expensive shipping for stuff they don't need.
