420 Hood question

When the side outlet crawler/orchard exhaust was on a 420 crawler or tractor, did JD use the same hood?
Or a hood without the muffler hole?

If the same hold, how was the hole treated?

The orchard kit came with a round piece of sheet metal {predrilled) and three screws.

It was not "pretty" - it just covered the hole.

No 420S or 420C was factory equipped with such?

I don't know the answer to your question.

My guess is that if a tractor was ordered with the orchard exhaust, the dealer installed it prior to delivery.
