425 hydrostat tranny

Have 425 just lost all fluid and will need to re build hydrstst transimission and all that goes with it I have tec manual but dealer advises aginst it looking at all the warnings in manual not sure i want to tackle without someone to advise has any body out there done this??

I haven't, but some of the crew at weekendfreedommachines have. Might ask there.

do you have the Tuff torque manuals or JD?

TT will be a much cheaper source of parts.

Also, have you torn it down? Or just assuming that it needs a rebuild due to fluid loss? May not.

what you mean just lost all fluids. maybe you just need fix your leak fill with correct oil,purge the system and see what you got. you might have to do nothing other than that. don't get the cart ahead of the horse seen it done many a time.

Thanks for your comments.good advice. I have JD trec manual. i assumed that running dry (my Wife)that things were messed up. I dont seem to ask the right questions usually dont get much help fom weekend freedom they seem a little upity.
