4250 load shaft seals

Load shaft started leaking and pulled it apart and it looked like one seal basically melted on the side that was leaking. It's like it just deteriorated. The other side was still good and is a totally different seal. The one that leaked is green and the new ones from deere are green and seem identical to the failed one. Any suggestions or just put them in and hope for best. The seals all states has looks like the other I pulled out that was good. Always used deere hydraulic oil by the way. Thanks in advance for the input.

A couple of months back I replaced those seals(R336625) in my 4255 for the 3rd time since I purchased tractor in '93. Speed/hr meter is showing nearly 12,000 hrs. I installed new seals & oil with no leaks because shaft still appeared to have minimal wear.

I replaced them when I bought the tractor
probably 7 or 8 years ago and evidently the
two seals I used were different but I know
i bought them at deere. Im going to change
shaft this time as well. Jim did you get
your seals at deere? I'm going to check
a&I as well.
