430 and scraper

That's a handy size dirt pan OP, how many yards does it haul? I wanted one for years but the few auctions I went to they sold for more than $4K. Then this Steiger dirt pan train came up on eBay and I got it for $7500 or so.
The rear pan doesn't have a gate so I leave it close to the ground when transporting dirt but it still leaves a trail wherever I go.
Do you have to rough up the ground to get it to load? I run my 4 bottom plow over fine soil to prep it and use the hoe or a box scraper with the scraffiers down in the stoney ground. It'll fill both pans in about 20 seconds if conditions are right. 12 yards at a time.

Got a home built one I picked up years ago but need to come up with some way to put a gate on the front

Nice twin can setup, Steiger sold some Quality stuff, and thats a Great buy. this one is small, 3/4 yard maybe, hady for small jobs though, I have built a lot of yard reconstruction, drainage, building site , road building with it over the years, also have a 4 yard unit , I have had a scraper of some type around to use since 1976, also ran TERX and CAT push-pull scrapers, 20-27 yard units yes I have to rip the ground at times to load it, here I was loading some what freshly stock piled dirt so it loaded easy

Here I was repairing a dam breach in a Family dam that is at least 116 years old now

Nice tractor and scraper, it is relaxing running scrapers, putting dirt where it is suppose to be. I thought we were dry, but seeing your pastures, I won't complain about being dry, I do hope you guys get some much needed rain. Wrong brand of tractor for here, but here is our 800 versatile and 8 yard ashland pans, they have some flaws, but for the most part are pretty good units.

Nice tractor and scraper, it is relaxing running scrapers, putting dirt where it is suppose to be. I thought we were dry, but seeing your pastures, I won't complain about being dry, I do hope you guys get some much needed rain. Nice double pan setup, Versatile are good units,, simple tough and just run for the most part,, still no rain here to amount to anything, predicting a dry winter here as well as more drought next year this makes 11 years now we have been short on h20, as you know the longer it lasts the worse it gets I am the only person here I know of able to cut anything for hay,, I been over 150 acres so far, and have maybe 300 small square bales to show for it,, But its something at least I would have Nothing if not for my summer fallow practices
