430 case

looked at 430 case with diesel and fel. 3pth and pto. is in scrap yard so all they know is engine is ? possible antifreeze in oil. good tires. as parts would it be worth $600? thank-you

What is the over all condition of the tractor? If the tires are good and the rest of the tractor isn't bent out of shape from hard use, the $600.00 asking price sounds like a deal.

Other than the cylinder sleeve O-rings leaking, what would be another cause for antifreeze in the crank case oil?

Should be worth that. I have inquired on a couple DCs a time or two here....always $1200 a pop with stuck engines. I know a DC is heavier but
at $100 a ton it comes to only $275-300 a tractor. Your yard must be more realistic.

Most commonly blown head gasket. Less common, cracked head or block. Wouldn't apply to old tractors, but V8 auto motors usually have coolant running through the intake manifold so intake gaskets can cause that. Other causes much less likely.

Last time I tried to buy some tractors out of scrapyard they quoted 30? pound times 4000 pound unit got pretty expensive.

I have two 430 diesel, draft o matic tractors for sale. One sorta runs, the other has a case loader, engine seems to be Stuck. $1600.00 for the
pair. Drawback for most of you guys is they are in Oregon. Good 14.9-24's on one the other has. 16.9-24 with one real good tire and one bad

where are you located? I just bought a 64 G430 gas has front loader and rear 3pt but trying to figure out if it has PTO or not. If I have to buy a donor I can live with that. I am in California. Thanks!

Just noticed--some hotshot mounted the RR tire backwards on that unit.
