430 T with factory power steering with loose steering.
It appears to be tight from the steering wheel to the vertical steering shaft assembly.
It appears to be tight from the wheels to the center steering arm.
Any idea where to look for the play in the steering?

Is this a 430T with a wide front? Only ask because you mention a center steering arm above the wheels.

Pull the sheetmetal/nosecone from the tractor.

On top of the steering pedistal (vertical part in front of the radiator) is a steering box with a cover held on by four bolts. Inside is a horizontal worm gear meshing with two pins on the vertical steering shaft. Sometimes those pins get worn or there is a setscrew on lid of the steering box that may need adjusted to keep the steering shaft pressed down into the worm gear. That can easily cause loose steering. Take a look inside and see what you find.

Check back if you do not think that is it.

The U joints in the steering shaft are sloppy . And/or the collar, half moon key and steering box shaft are wallowed out .
Stiener’s sell a replacement collar to weld onto the steering shaft .
