430 Transmission

Guys

Just a quick question - are the triple range, the transmission and reservoir all connected on this tractor? If not does the triple range also take hy-tran? Cause the oil I drained out of it looked a lot like engine oil. Thanks. Paul

90 wt is best for tranny in warm Climates ... hydraulic is seperate from all tranny componets ,, The 3pt ram sits in the area above tranny reservoir ,, When the seals finally fail they will dump hydro Oil into tranny , Eventually empting the hydro r4servoir ,New 3pt Hydro Ram seals,ARE Not a HARD TO DO FIX ,,. Good Luck Jim

The two aren't connected, and if the oil out of the triple range looked a lot like engine oil that's what you want to see. The oil in the transmission should be a 90-140 type gear oil. As long as your oil levels remain as they should be on the dip sticks you don't have a leak to worry about. Roger
