435 Block Heater

I finally broke down and installed a block heater on the 435 this year. I have to say I was surprised how easy the tractor started, even with the outside temperature below zero it fired right off just like it was 70 outside. I was able to get the driveway and road plowed without problem!

How do you like your 435? I've been wanting a tractor like that. Been thinking of a 430, 435 or a AC D-15. Would like a deseal though. Glad it started right up for up. Couldn't get my 112 going so had to use a shovel.

I love our 435. My dad bought this tractor in 1961. We sold it with some property in Michigan back in 1986 and I bought it back in 2004. You have to like GM/Detroit diesels. It seems like people either love them or hate them. I grew up around them, as our family used them in everything; GMC trucks, Allis dozers, powerplants on the equipment, etc.

Never been around GM dieseals motors but do like the set up of the 435. Where in michigan did you guys have property? Live in southen cental michigan.
