I have a massey project tractor and want to get a manual for it. Plate says 44-6-GR 4441...I know thats a gas row crop but am wondering what the 6 is for. It has a 4 cyl engine in it.
 
You have a 1948 gas row-crop.The tractor you have was originally built with a 226-cubic in continental six cylinder engine.The six is for the six cylinder engine.The book I have on massey tractors shows that the 44-6 row-crop was built from 1946 to 1951.
