44 rear cast hubs

Since no one is replying with an actual weight, I can give you an estimate. I haven"t had one in my hands for a while but I would guess about 65 to 75 lbs.

Thanks Mike I have a 44 LP with 277 stamped on block going to try to make a puller out of it starting to get my ducks in a row Thanks Bean in MN

Then that would be a 44 special, I"m completely rebuilding one right now to use on the farm. I would say your close on the weight at 4 to 500 lbs. less the rim. We figured hub, wheel and rim to go about 700. It will squat the tires on a bobcat to lift the assembly. Are you going to run LP to pull or gasoline? We pull a MF65 row crop with 38 inch rubber. Pull against 44"s, they get us some days and others we get them, depends on the track I guess. What do you think your 44 weighs with the cast wheels as stock?

I took the engine out of my dad"s 1947 massey 44 and put it into a 1953 massey 44 that had a stuck engine. the 53 had a hand clutch, cast hubs, not sure if it is a special or not. I converted it to a gasoline. Not sure on weight, I have to put weights on my 33 to make 4700 pound class...so I am not sure what the 44 will weigh.
What part of MN are you located. I am in the west central part (3o miles west of Twin Citites)
Thanks,
Bean
