44 Special Paint Quanity

Does anyone have a estimate on amount of paint (red and yellow) it takes for 44 paint job. It has been sprayed with primer. Thanks

at least a gallon of red. a quart of yellow should do the hubs.

In my experience, you will need more than a gallon of red, if you are painting the inside of the fenders, under the hood, behind the grille ,under the tractor and both sides of the engine tub. I have used a cheaper paint in some of those areas that are not normally visible to save a few bucks.

I would want 6 quarts of red and 2 of yellow.

I have a NAPA urethane code that is a good match for the red.

I agree, if your planning on painting inside of hood and grille (light coat), and inside of the tub (engine removed) 6 quarts red and 2 quarts yellow!! Paint can vary on how well it covers and how much thinner is added!!! I use Martin Senior Crossfire: 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner + several oz hardened!!!!
