4430 coolant heater

I have what i think is RE29408 block heater. i have removed the large nut but that goes around the heater element but i am not for sure what to do next to remove.

When the nut is tightened there is a tapered ring that expands to bind the assembly in the bore. After removing the nut, tap on it with a hammer to jar it loose. I sometimes use a chisel to get under the lip on the spacer and pry it out. They can be stubborn and in such a handy place too. The new heater is different and comes complete so it won't matter if you destroy the old one trying to get it out. Good luck.
