4430 decals

I am looking for original type hood decals for a 74 4430. Does anyone know if jd decals are the aluminum backed ones like original. I looked at parts info for r63411 ( believe that's part number) and no info on material. Has anyone found the original decals.

The decals you get now aren't aluminum.Haven't been for 35 years. They are a mylar type, peel the back off and stick them on. Helps if you use soapy water on the surface where the decals goes.

Have never seen any replacements in the original aluminum. They are a pain anyhow because the adhesive is so nasty to get off and the hood rusts behind them too. Vinyl is the way to go IMO.

Yes, the old style is no longer available, make sure you get all the old glue of and have a smooth surface for the new ones, every bump will show..
