Has anyone installed on of the converter kits that changes the rear scv's from
Deere to Pioneer?

Is it something that someone of average mechanical ability can do?

The left SCV won't accept the Pioneer adapter any more and I'm tired of messing
with it.

None of the mechanics around here seem to want to mess with it.

Thanks

Is it possible the coupler barrel is rusted/sticking in it's bore and not moving backwards far enough to accept the adapter?

As to the changeover, it's no different than if you were to take what you have apart, reseal, and put it back together.

It takes some patience to install seal rings and backup rings deep down in the cast iron coupler "body", and by the time you get gone you will have ALMOST mastered holding down a spring at the top of the coupler lever mechanism while installing a snapring". Almost.

Does anyone know if there are plugs/ dust plugs for the pioneer conversions like the original john deere plugs?
I personally like those heavy duty plugs with a chain on them. they seem to fit nice and tight and then they don't seem to fall out easily like the floppy rubber plugs do.
The rubber ones also tear and give up and fall off easily also.
