does anyone know how to turn-up the fuel pump on a 4430 about 10-15% just need a little more

I had the neighbor do this to mine back in the 1980s. Took about five minutes. I'll let someone else describe the exact procedure.
In the mean time you might want to start researching high capacity radiators.

Ooh yes it's way too easy,,remove the lower cover on the back of the injector pump,4 cap screws needing a 10mm wrench,a little oil will come out, I use a piece of cardboard to direct the oil spill off the frame. Then with a 10mm socket back the jam nut off the set screw under the cap, careful not to back the screw out with it, then turn the set screw ( I use a pop can tab) "in" 1/2 to 3/4 turns then set the jam nut, careful not to over tighten it, this will put you in the 160-175 hp range and the tractor will deal with this okay.

30 series can also be a little doggy at lower rpm, so I like to also adjust the aneroid, which gives them more snap. Tim can expain the procedure for this. It's super easy.

Tim, just fact checking- is it really simply be turned up to 160-175 hp? Isn’t the 4430 a 125 hp model? That’s 30 to 40%, decently beyond the 4630.

Yes, and a 4430 will live with 160-175 hp,, a 4630 will deal with 190-200hp ,,Back in the old days when we were unloading new 44's and 46's off the truck we would dyno them once and a while, most 4430's had 130-140 and 46's had 160-175 from the start..and yes if your radiator is in bad shape it will show up, and an old clutch or engine will all play into the good or the bad of it all, but the truth of it all is when you use the little extra as reserve power and not getting a bigger disc or cultivator it works out better.

Ok, now what if I give it 1/2 a turn but the guy before me gave it 1/2 a turn too ? and the guy before him ? now what do we have ?

I'd sure hate to fiddle with one without a dyno hooked to it. Maybe it lacks power because it is worn out too ?

Had a new 4630 that was really dead at low rpm. Never did but should have adjusted the aneroid. A little black smoke when you crack the throttle is only a bad thing for the EPA types.

My neighbor had a 4630 that was totally gutless unless you wound it up. I mean You could kill it in B Reverse on level ground. When I bought it, I opened up the aneroid, gave it about 30 clicks and I swear, it was a whole new tractor after that.

The extra power wont hurt anything its the shifting up a gear and lugging them where the the exhaust temp reaches higher temps.The throttle response with aneroid makes it seem like a different tractor.Our 4840 had great power and response compared to any 30/40 series we had but also had a different bigger pump.The older 3406 Cat semis would just smoke and go now the EPA has taken the black smoke out of diesel.I laugh at some of the chipped diesel trucks that are real smokers on acceleration

where is and how do I adjust the aneroid on this tractor

Right under the aneroid flange there is an allen head pipe plug. Remove the plug (see red arrow in pic). You won't lose any oil or anything. Inside, there is what I would describe as a notched wheel mechanism and spring. I simply use a flat blade screwdriver and pry sideways against the side of the housing to 'flick' or rotate the wheel counter-clockwise. It's impossible to count the notches so give it about 20 prys or so, put the plug back in and try it. If you need more, give it a few more. I have done 30 on a few and that seems to be plenty.

i have adjusted the aneriod about 25 clicks as explained,and it has made a world of difference.
They should have been like this from new.
