4440 3pt draft

I just purchased a 4440 and put a snowblower onto the 3pt. The 3pt lever has to be basically at 0 for the 3pt to lift. In the "all the way up" position it brings the 3pt all the way up in a snap but it basically has two positions. All the way up and all the way down. I assume there is a way to adjust this and since I don"t have a manual yet I thought I ask for some advice.

While setting in the seat there's a control on the side below the shift quadrant. I think it's marked "max" & "min". Move it the opposite way it is. If 3pt still raises all the way to the top then the L/D settings need to be gone through as outlined in tech manual.
