4440 water pump loose

Iwas going to put this tractor for sale and was wondering from the expert experience the water pump is a little bit loose, but no leaks at all. should I figure it is normal until it leaks or just rebuild the pump and know its right for the next guy? I am pretty certain a new pump would be tight or atleast a new bearing. Hours are unknown.

OK thanks where do we recommend a good parts supply for a kit... I have a shop I will drain, remove, clean and rebuild the unit before selling.

i decided one time to get a remain from one my suppler i over hauled the engine..the guy picked up his tractor he live about 10 miles from me he got about 5 miles from me when the pulley moved forward and eat up the radiator after checking found the pump shaft was a tad bit smaller the jd shaft the suppler cover all the cost to fix it but if i had not been able to show the problem i had to eat it myself.. i have also use kit from a&i but never to satisfied with them so i only use ome jd parts on water pumps.. just my 2cents and if you never done one ty can be a real b

Been years since I have done one but I used to buy the parts from JD and rebuild them myself. From the other posts Looks like the parts are really high now from JD and aftermarket pumps can now be found .
