What"s a 445 worth? I"m looking to buy one and would like to know what sort of money it"s going to take to get one. Be nice if was running but doesn"t have to.

Im sorry to say this but that is a dumb question to ask because its the same answer for every tractor. It depends on the condition of the tires, the engine, transmission, over all condition and the list goes on and on. Like what my grandpa always said its only worth what a person is willing to pay.

Instead of being a smart a$$, you could have answered in a manner such as... well a rough one would probably be worth X dollars and a real nice one could bring as much as X dollars. It wasn't a dumb question, perfectly legitimate.

Maybe $500 for a rough one to $3000 for a nice restored one. I usually go for the lower dollar tractor. I like working on them. However when you buy a cheap tractor, have some idea how much the transmission, engine, clutch, etc may cost to fix. There are many sources for used parts out there, and nothing on a 445 should be too tough to find. There are some 445 parts for sale on ebay right now. Many of these tractors had an amplitorc, which was a hi-lo shifter. Due to abuse, many of the amplitorc no longer work in low range.

Thanks! I enjoy tinkering around with them too so thats just what I was looking for. God Bless and Merry Christmas

About six years ago I gave $100 for a 445-LP-N that had been sitting alongside I-20 in Trent, Texas for about 20 years. Stuck and the starter was missing. About a year later I gave $800 off eGag (Farmersville, Texas) for a 445-LP-E with rebuilt engine that the Imported Fire Ants had destroyed the distributor while it was laying on the ground and the engine being rebuilt. He got mad and let it sit a couple of years then sold it unfinished. Seven good tires are going to hurt though.

Some of the 445 Ampli-torques didn't work with out being abused ours got 2 replaced under warranty the first year we had it and one more at our expense later.

Well i didnt answer like that or otherwise i would have and im not being a smart @ss. If you knew anything bout molines you should have a pretty good idea of how much its worth.

I Paid 1600.00 for 1956 445 utility that runs great, everything works, straight sheet metal, and good rubber but needs paint.
