45 combine engines

I just bought 3 model 45 combine engines at an auction. They are all rough and stuck. I was wondering what exactly they are (engine model ect) as they are all different. One is a flat head. Another seems to have a deck plate showing between the head and the block. It has a tag that I think labels it a 145g. The third and what appears to be the newest doesnt seem to have a tag or appear to have a deck plate. I'll probably part them out if there's any interest but I'd sell any of them whole as well. Will any of them fit in a tractor and if so what model?

The 45's i've seen had a 180 gas engine. That would fit in 2510s and 2020 tractors. I wouldn't mind having a 180 to rebuild for my 2510 as a spare.

If you want to get it in central IL or arrange shipping I'd part with one assuming we verify that's what I've got.

Anyone with a 1010 or 2010 should be all over that engine with the investment cast block.
The sleeve deck engines are not the horror they once were. As oversize pistons are now available for them .

If speedee is in your area I got a set of jugs for a g900 mm shipped from Clint Stamm for around $150.

Is the Hercules valuable or useful to anyone? I know they used them on the first model 45s. Round back ones I think. I'd like to make a few bucks and send them somewhere they're needed.

Only the last 45's had the 180 engines. Very easy to tell as the combine separator drive is V-belt. All the older 45's had a flat belt. I shelled lots of corn with a 45 with the 165 engine. It and a second machine with the 180 are still setting in the shed on my Maryland farm. Not sure if they will ever get to WI or not. Tom
