450 head studs

Putting my head studs back into the block tonight and have read that the ones that go into the water jacket areas need to have either Teflon tape or pipe dope on the thread to help seal them? Is that true?

definitly, you need an anti seize. i would not be too concerned on using teflon tape . my first choice would be BLUE loctite on all bolts.
