454 Power Steering leak

I am inquiring about a power steering motor leak on a 1972 454. I noticed the other day that I had oil dripping from the bottom of the power steering pump. I changed the upper shaft seal a year ago and know it is probably not that. Is there another seal to replace or do I have to bite the bullet and buy a $1200 power steering pump? Thanks for any help or advise.

Hi, read the post below about IH 584 loss of steering.
Also there maybe different steering pumps on the 454 depending on serial number, both types can be resealed.
The Danfoss model is more difficult to re-seal, an old IH Mechanic would recommend taking it to your local CIH Dealer but all bets are off now many years later as all the old mechanics have now retired.

Yep and these new kids maybe computer smart but dumber then a box of rocks when comes to the older stuff .
